The Department of English, Faculty of Letters, at Tohoku Gakuin University (Sendai, Japan) invites applications for a full-time permanent position in the English Linguistics and Language section (Lecturer, Associate Professor or Professor), tenable from April 1, 2022.

Undergraduate level:
Introductory courses in key areas including English pronunciation, English text reading and English grammar. Also seminar courses and intermediate-level courses in English linguistics and language.
Post-graduate level (if eligible):
Courses in English linguistics

Participating in administrative work as a full-time member of the Department and the Faculty.

[Qualifications]
Candidate must meet ALL of the following criteria:
（1）Have an understanding of the Christian education and school philosophy of Tohoku Gakuin University
（2）Have a Ph.D. or equivalent qualifications in the field of specialization
（3）Have sufficient Japanese ability to fulfill administrative responsibilities
（4）Have an enthusiasm for teaching and researching within the Faculty of Letters, and a willingness to undertake administrative responsibilities including serving on committees and contributing to the local community.
（5）Have experience of teaching English pronunciation and English grammar at university level.

[Compensation]
Salary and other benefits will be commensurate with the qualifications of the candidate, according to the regulations of Tohoku Gakuin University.
